Privacy Policy & Legal Notice

Last Updated: December 2025

1. Introduction

Your privacy is my number one priority. This website and newsletter are designed to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains how I handle the small amount of information I do collect.

2. Data Controller (Legal Notice / Impressum)

Under the GDPR, I am the “Data Controller” of your information.

3. Data We Collect and Why

We only collect one piece of personal data: Your Email Address.

  • Purpose: To deliver the automated email newsletter you subscribed to.
  • Legal Basis: Consent. By entering your email and checking the boxes for specific interests, you are giving me permission to send you those specific emails.
  • Double Opt-In: We use a double opt-in process to ensure you actually own the email address provided.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

To run this newsletter safely and efficiently, I use the following “Data Processors”:

  • Loops.so: My email delivery platform. They store your email address and handle the sending of the “drip” campaigns.
  • Cloudflare: Used for website security and performance. Cloudflare may process your IP address temporarily to protect the site from malicious attacks (Legitimate Interest).
  • WordPress: The platform hosting this site.
  • Stripe (Future Use): If you choose to support this project financially in the future, Stripe will process payment data. I will never see your credit card details.

5. Cookies

This website is Cookie-Free. We do not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies.

  • Because we do not use non-essential tracking, you will not see a disruptive cookie banner here.
  • We do not track your behavior across other websites.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Instant Deletion: If you click “Unsubscribe” in any email, your email address is instantly removed from the active mailing list.
  • Right to be Forgotten: You can contact me at [Insert Email] at any time to request that all records of your email address be permanently deleted from my systems and my third-party processors.

7. International Data Transfers

Our email processor, Loops.so, is based in the United States. We ensure that your data is protected through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) provided by our processors to ensure a level of protection equivalent to that in the EU.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  1. Access the data I have about you (which is just your email).
  2. Rectify any incorrect information.
  3. Request the deletion of your data.
  4. Object to processing.
  5. File a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
